Our work with motion picture production is motivated by a desire to capture and reflect our clients' vision. To promote the visibility of these clients, we provide everything from short movie clips for website enhancement to full blown multi-camera productions for broadcast, and everything in between. We offer a complete selection of deliverables including high-definition, web, videotape, CD-ROM, and full featured DVD authoring. We are currently working on a number of new projects. Presenting jazz pianist Tammy Hall's debut DVD, 'Tammy Hall: Reflections' video podcast . This ambitious DVD is based on a live performance of original compositions and jazz standards filmed at the famed Yoshi's Jazz House in Oakland California, Hall's musical artistry is then combined with cinematography by the elfenworks team and visuals by master editor/animator Tim Schaller. The blending of her performance with dream-like imagery invites viewers to escape into a world of visual metaphor inspired and driven by the emotional qualities of the music.The film was released February 28, 2006 to critical acclaim including Summit and Telly Awards and festival awards for Best Jazz Short / Best Music Video (Cleveland) and Best International Documentary Short (Calgary). Footage has aired on Bay Area Focus with Susan Sikora on KBHK/UPN TV and the DVD was featured as a KCSM 91.1 member pledge-drive thank-you gift. Official selection of the following film festivals:

In celebration of this legendary virtuoso's 80th birthday, the elfenworks team prepared a documentary short, surreptitiously gathering the names of well-wishers to list at the end of the film. The documentary short, which has received a 2007 Telly Award, may be viewed online on our site, on youTube, and at the maestro's own website. It is also mastered in high definition for television airing, or for film festival screening. In addition, elfenworks productions has filmed the artistry of legendary virtuoso violinist Aaron Rosand's performances and master classes over the years video podcast. Venues include Philadelphia's Verizon Hall, Mills College, and the Heifetz Society in southern California. Our film Aaron Rosand, Live in Recital at Mills College was selected by the Davey Awards for their top honor, a Gold Award, for outstanding creative achievement in the category of Entertainment. The film is now available from Video Artists International.

Jeremy Cohen is a long-time elfenworks client, and we are involved with ongoing efforts to capture his artistry for entertainment, marketing, education, and archives.

His concert film, Jeremy Cohen ViolinJazz & Friends Celebrate Joe Venuti, 100 Years, is now available from Video Artists International. This film received its world premiere screening at the 2005 Globians Film Festival in Potsdam, Germany. Excerpts of this film were also featured at the 2005 Tiburon International Film Festival's Opening Gala Celebration (read press release).

elfenworks has captured a number of concerts for this quartet, the official Quartet In Residence of Mills College, at venues including San Francisco's Herbst Theatre. We are proud to report that some of this footage was aired on San Francisco news station KRON Channel 4. The quartet has undergone a personnel change since the time that this film was shot, and the quartet has decided against releasing it.

elfenworks (then known as LMSWebdesign) worked with American Zoetrope and director Christopher Speeth to produce a DVD from the 1970s classic horror movie Malatesta's Carnival. We also developed a website, DVD artwork, and press kit for the director. An award-winner at the 2005 Eerie Horror Film Festival, this film is seeking international distribution, and is available for purchase online.
